Frequent Questions
We do not accept insurance or bill for third party payment. Therefore, payment is expected at time of service rendered. However, we will provide you with a receipt with the pertinent insurance codes in order that you can self-file with your insurance carrier. It is wise to discuss your out-of-network options with your insurance carrier so that you will know your out-of-pocket expenses ahead of time and to know the correct process for reimbursement. It is strongly suggested that when deciding on a counselor that insurance not be the deciding factor. While your insurance plan may provide a more financially beneficial option to you, when considering the importance of the counseling you hope to receive, insurance benefits should not be the primary consideration in making that decision.
Will my insurance pay for marriage counseling?
(As stated under the question concerning the accepting of insurance: Hope Wells does not accept insurance or bill for third party payment. However, in the event that you plan to self-file it is wise to discuss your out-of-network options with your insurance carrier.). When seeking marriage counseling, it is important you ask the right questions to your insurance carrier.
Many healthcare providers will only pay for conditions that they consider to be “medically necessary,” so your health insurance may pay for your surgery but not your face lift (or your marriage counseling since it is not a medical issue). Understanding what is covered and what is not will help you make an informed decision when choosing a counselor.
Does your church or organization have a counseling department?
We can come to your facility. Call us to set up an appointment to discuss the benefits of partnership.
We are available for public speaking at marriage conferences, civic organizations, and church groups. Topics include communication, boundaries, intimacy and having fun in the marriage relationship. Other individual, marital and family topics are being developed on an ongoing basis.
Hope Wells uses temperament testing as a tool to help you understand yourself. This effective tool helps give insight as a launching point to help understand the nature of the issues that may be plaguing you. Temperament, in simple terms, is the inborn (not genetic, i.e. brown hair, blue eyes, etc.) part of man that determines how he reacts to people, places and things. In short, it is how people interact with their environment and the world around them. Temperament pinpoints our perception of ourselves and the people who love us. It is also the determining factor in how well we handle the stresses and pressures of life. Temperament can best be defined as Spiritual genetics or God’s imprint upon each one of us. Three are involved in the conception of a child, the mother, the father and the Creator. Our personality is a mask that we let others see. It is the combination of your temperament and your environment. Our process helps us get behind the mask and allows us to help you with real change.
